Garlic butter has to go down as one of the truely great culinary innovations. Mmmmm….ham mayo on crusty white bread with garlic butter…

Read the soaraway Sun - for all for your covert surveillance needs!

The Cherie Blair (or as one scouse commentator called her “Our Cherry”) row rumbles on. Now we find that someone has been bugging Peter Foster’s phone calls to his mother. Who do we think is responsible for the criminal phone tapping? I love the way the Sun doesn’t even make reference to the origin of the tapes – although the Guardian was suggesting that Foster’s mother had taped them. They even suggest a radio ham picked them up – like during “SquidgyGate”. Someone needs to tell them the tech has moved on a bit…

Cardinal Law finally resigned. There’s another scandal that’s rumbled on far longer than it should have. Maybe his eminence lent No. 10 some Press Officers?

This week, I ‘a be’ mostly listenin’ to The Divine Comedy. Unfortunately, my collection is incomplete.

The word deleted has to be worst thing to ever appear on a discography – as it does for their first album “Fanfare for the Comic Muse”. Sorry, Ms. Rosen, but that’s the best argument for downloading I know of! Where else am I meant to get stuff record companies don’t think it worth their while to sell?

“There’ll always be an England, an Ireland and a France, a Lichtenstein and Finland…”

Yet another stream of “Check this out!” spam lands in my Yahoo Groups mailbox this morning. This is getting silly – surely Yahoo should have been able to track these gits by now – I assume it’s Yahoo deleting their accounts that results in all the 404s that these messages link to. Or is there a neglected ‘puter in a cupboard somewhere on a drive to keep sending this spam?

Today’s Dilbert is good – I wonder if Dogbert is talking about Cable and Wireless?

The paperwork for my e-savings account turned up today. I have to sign just once. That’s it. For that, I had to wait 3 days, and get sent paperwork. I wouldn’t mind, but I have online banking with this company – if it’s secure enough to let me transfer money to other peeps, why not secure enough to open a savings account?
